Gasps of delight and excitement could be heard around the wards of Children’s Health Ireland (CHI) at Crumlin today as Santa Claus and his Elves paid a special visit to all of the patients. The excitement was palpable as news spread that Santa and his Elves were making their way around the wards with presents. They were joined by over 19 hospital departments dressed up under various themes such as Charlie and the CHI-ocolate Factory, The Wizard of Oz, Emojiis, Snow Whilte, Frozen, Bees, Toy Story, Outer Space with remaining staff members decked out in their most Christmassy jumpers as part of the event. Ho Ho Day is a special event organised every year by the hospital staff to bring children, families and staff together for a magical day of festive celebration. The day includes face painting for the children, fancy dress competitions for the best dressed staff member(s), ward, department, and spot prizes for the children with festive entertainment provided by musicians from Kids Classics, Clown Doctors, Magicians, Irish Dancers, Hip Hop Dancers and the hospitals very own Staff Choir.
