Resignations from the Medical Council

The Medical Council has announced the resignation of two members of its Council.

Ms Alison Lindsay has resigned on health grounds.

Dr Marcus de Brun has resigned for personal reasons.

Dr Rita Doyle, President of the Medical Council, said: “I wish to thank both Alison and Marcus for their contributions to the Medical Council since their appointment and I wish them well in the future.”

The process for filling the two vacancies on the Council will be carried out in conjunction with the Public Appointments Service.

The Medical Council is made up of 25 members, 13 lay and 12 medical.
