The RCPI is postponing a range of events as concern over Covid-19 mounts.
The ethics foundation course due to take place tomorrow (Wednesday 11 March) has been postponed.
The media training course due to take place on Thursday 12 March has also been postponed. Both will be rescheduled for a later date.
The Masterclass in Intensive Care Medicine due to take place on the evening of 11 March has been postponed.
This includes the online live streaming element of this event.
“Unfortunately, because of the additional workload created by Covid-19, the ICU presenters due to speak on that evening are no longer available at this time,” according to the RCPI.
“We will endeavour to reschedule this Masterclass at a later date.”
Due to the current visiting restrictions in the Dublin Midlands Hospital Group in response to Covid-19 the launch of the RCPI office in Tallaght University Hosiptal that was due to take place on Thursday 12 March has been postponed until further notice.
The Forum on Life and Living with a severe Acquired Brain Injury (sABI), due to take place in RCPI on Wednesday 24 March, will also be rescheduled for a later date.
There are currently no plans to cancel scheduled RCPI examinations.
“We are endeavouring to run all upcoming examinations where possible,” according to the College.
“In the interests of public health, we may need to, in a small number of instances, reschedule some upcoming examinations. Any changes to exams will be communicated by email to the affected individuals.”
