Online GP consultations added to Aviva package

By Dermot - 04th Apr 2016

The future of telemedicine and how it will change the nature of the doctor/patient relationship was one of the issues debated at the IMO AGM in Sligo that was held this weekend.

Aviva Healthcare announced today that it has “locked down” the cost of its Aviva Select and Select Starter plans at the same price as last year for all customers who renew or join by April 30.

Aviva Health has also added three online GP Consultations to these plans, enhancing the existing benefits with face-to-face video consultations or phone consultations with an Irish registered GP, within 30 minutes of booking the appointment.

Aviva Select plans start from just €32.42 per month or €8.17 per week for private cover in 33 public hospitals plus emergency department abroad cover and extensive cover for scan centres across the country.
