NAGP has “productive” meeting with NIO

“From the point of view of the NAGP, the meeting represented an opportunity to clearly articulate the issues from the perspective of our members up and down the country,” said Dr.Andrew Jordan, NAGP Chairman,

“This week, we are going to send a submission to the Department of Health, Health Service Executive and Department of Public Expenditure to outline the level of work involved in providing the additional services contained in the proposed schedule”.

Dr Jordan was joined by Mr Chris Goodey, NAGP CEO and Tim Smyth, NAGP Head of Legal and Public Affairs at the meeting. They met with Dr. Kevin Kelleher and Dr. Brenda Corcoran of the National Immunisation Office on the 2nd June.

The meeting followed the letter issued by Dr Kevin Kelleher on the 26 April outlining proposed amendments to the Primary Childhood Immunisation Schedule.
